Fire Origin and Cause Investigation
Forensic Investigator, Cord Guthrie, has been conducting comprehensive investigations into
fire origin and cause for The Engineering Institute for the past ten years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree
in pre-med psychology with an emphasis in criminology and a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from
George Washington University.

Cord is a member of the (NAFI) National Association of Fire Investigators and the (NFPA) National Fire Protection Association; a (CFEI) Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and a (CVFI) Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator.

Also professionally trained in accident reconstruction, he has conducted hundreds of investigations regarding automobile accidents (fire and non-fire related).
