Forensic Investigations and Accident Reconstruction
EI Consultants, LLC formerly known as The Engineering Institute, LLC provides a variety of forensic investigations related to passenger and commercial vehicle accidents. Our services include accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, industrial accident reconstruction, and heavy equipment. Services are also available in fire origin and cause investigations, mechanical and materials failures, such as tire failure and design, ATV and UTV, and seat belts restraint systems. We provide specialized services in areas of human factors, and biomechanics and occupant motion; where such knowledge was provided to CNN in the Princess Diana Accident. In addition, our senior engineers have experience in expert depositions and trial testimony.
Introducing Medical Expert Dr. Charla Watkins to Our Team
Dr. Charla Watkins earned her doctor of nursing practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Her DNP is in Family Psychiatric Mental Health and her doctoral research is in Human Sex Trafficking. Dr. Watkins is a family nurse practitioner with experience in both urgent care and family medicine. She is nationally certified as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE-A) through the International Association of Forensic Nurses. She has a solid educational and clinical experience in conducting forensic assessments and evaluations for patients across the lifespan who have been exposed to child abuse, sexual violence, molestation, and domestic violence. Dr. Watkins has conducted over 2,000 forensic medical examinations with evidence collection and 1,500 forensic interviews.
Dr. Watkins has an extensive background in teaching and lecturing in both nursing theory and clinical nursing. She served as faculty with the Har-Ber School of Nursing for five years and remained as clinical adjunct faculty for an additional 9 years. In 2002 she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau honor society. In 2004 Charla received Washington Regional Medical Center’s prestigious Eagle Award for her contributions to the improvement of healthcare in Northwest Arkansas and the 2004 Citizen of the Year Award from the Fayetteville Fraternal Order of Police.
Dr. Watkins background in forensic science, urgent care, family practice and psychiatric mental health care has equipped her to provide expert case work, consultation and testimony in the following areas:
